Children throughout history have been mischievous, but their acts oftentimes meant they were classed as criminals. The wealth of records available about these children is phenomenal. This presentation seeks to show you both where to find these records both online and in archives, and the type of information you will discover. Linda Hammond is a professional genealogist with over 35 years’ experience. As well as carrying out research for clients, she also works as a tutor for the Strathclyde Institute for Genealogical Studies on their Masters programme. Linda's specialized research focus is on Reformatory and Industrial Schools in England. As well as publishing articles on the subject she has also created a website (http://www.deris.org/) to allow people to search for their ancestors in the records of the Devon & Exeter Reformatory and Industrial Schools for boys.
