What did your ancestor do between census dates? We usually learn when our ancestors were born, married and died, but what about all the days in between?
With the help of old diaries, newspaper articles and postcards sent from around the world, Mia Bennett has pieced together the life story of her great-great grandfather, who was a ship’s steward. Her research revealed that he was lucky enough to experience mingling with famous people and seeing eclipses, but that he also loved just going out in the rowing boat when home on the Isle of Wight.
This talk provides research techniques and websites/sources that you could use to build out the lives of your ancestors.
