Join SoG volunteer Deborah Stock in our virtual common room this July for a special transatlantic edition of the Members’ Lunchtime Chat. To mark 250 years of American Independence, we’ll be exploring American family history, sharing research experiences and swapping tips with members from both sides of the Atlantic.
Whether you have deep American roots, a recently discovered cousin across the pond, or are only just beginning to explore a US connection, this friendly and informal chat is the perfect place to exchange ideas, stories and inspiration.
Together we’ll be discussing questions such as:
- What first led you to discover an American branch in your family tree?
- What has been your biggest challenge when researching ancestors in the USA?
- Which US genealogy tip or resource do you wish you had known about sooner?
For this month only, we’ve moved the Lunchtime Chat to a time that better suits our members in the United States, so wherever you are joining from, bring your breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or favourite drink and settle in for a relaxed conversation with fellow family historians and researchers from across the Atlantic.
- Included in Membership.
