Join us for an introduction to researching Merchant Seamen and Sailors. Our island nation has produced generation after generation of sailors. Wildly differing cargoes have been loaded and unloaded in ports ranging from modest seaside villages to the grandest of docks.

From tea clippers to coal tramps this talk will take you on a voyage around the many and varied sets of records available to piece together life in the Merchant Navy.
