You are part of your own family history.
Your story is important, not just for your own family but for future generations of local and social historians.
Writing your memoir is a rewarding and therapeutic process and completing our own biographies is an important task for those of us who are family historians.
At ‘Writing your Life Story Club’, we will take you from blank page to an interesting biography in fifteen months. Each month, we will tackle a different topic, discuss our approach, share and jog memories and encourage each other. Topics will include, clothes, homes, food, work, relationships, celebrations, hobbies and much more. There will also be help with structure and the writing process. It is hoped that participants will be able to attend the majority of the sessions, which will take the form of workshops and discussions, rather than a series of lectures.
- Book a spot to watch live and join in the discussion. No pre-booking required to view the recording, which will be available in the Learning Hub
