Visit: Zoological Society of London Library and Archives

The Zoological Society of London was founded in 1826 with the ZSL Library established soon after.  The library and archive documents 200 years of the history of ZSL, and although much of the collections are not genealogical in nature, there are some useful resources and surprising finds.

This tour will talk through these sources, showing how to trace ZSL staff using these records, as well as showcasing some other beautiful, interesting and unexpected items held in the collection.

Attendees will be welcome to stay on afterwards to explore the collections held in the library reading room until closing time at 5pm should they wish.
