Professional genetic genealogy work demands the highest standards of ethics, privacy, and security. How can we best fulfil our obligations to the clients who entrust us with highly sensitive questions about their family relationships and identity – and what does this look like in practice when you’re the one doing the research?
Join Dr. Sophie Kay for this interactive discussion about the logistical and practical ‘how-tos’ of pro DNA research. We’ll identify the security and privacy ‘pinch points’ in your research workflow and explore workable solutions for these; examine the practicalities of the informed consent process; and address how to manage client expectations across a range of situations.
