About the Speaker
Nicola Johnson
Known for her distinctive, engaging writing, Nicola Johnson brings 15 years of BBC Broadcast Journalism experience to the world of family history. She is the founder of All About Ancestors (allaboutancestors.com) and a professional genealogist specialising in English family history, DNA and maritime‑related research, including transported convicts and the Titanic disaster. She offers a broad range of services from archive lookups to extensive family history research packages and bespoke books. Nicola holds an MSc (Distinction) in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies (University of Strathclyde) and combines her research work with regular writing for Who Do You Think You Are?, Family Tree and Discover Your Ancestors magazines. She also delivers engaging talks for family history societies and national organisations.
