Join genetic genealogy expert Debbie Kennett as she explores the power of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) testing for genealogical research. We inherit mtDNA from our mothers and it therefore tracks the direct maternal line (your mother, your mother’s mother, etc). mtDNA is an under-utilised tool in genetic genealogy but it can provide interesting insights into both your recent and distant ancestry.

It is also a useful supplement to the more popular DNA tests.

Learn through practical examples how you can use mtDNA to answer genealogical questions and explore your ancient origins.
