Many people make the move from researching their own family history to carrying out professional research, but struggle with writing up a genealogy research report to a professional standard.
In this one-hour talk, professional genealogist Dr Karen Cummings will provide an overview of how to turn a piece of research into a professional report. Starting with fundamental aspects such as style, layout and presentation we begin by discussing how your reports are your 'product' and the way in which you showcase your research abilities to your clients. The talk will then move into the detail of what to include in your reports, options for illustration and working to a standard to satisfy AGRA (the Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives).
